The Silver trophy shown opposite, valued at 100 Guineas, was of height 15 inches, standing on a Silver Gilt Stand of height 3 1 2/ inches and was presented to Lambton Park races by the Honourable Edward Petre in 1822 as the prize for a Handicap Sweepstake of 5 Guineas. |
